Designed for children ages three to about six (65-pound maximum weight per passenger), the Power Wheels Ford F150 operates with a real steering wheel and foot pedal -- just like a real truck. Powered by a rechargeable 12-volt battery, the truck can drive up to five miles per hour. The car is designed to travel at a max of 2.5 MPH at first, when your child is a beginning driver: when he or she becomes more experienced, just remove the safety mechanism to reach maximum speed! The vehicle also features a specially designed safety braking system, which automatically stops the vehicle when the foot is removed from the pedal. The truck can also go in reverse at up to 2.5 MPH. Kids Love It : Power Wheels Ford F150
My 4 year old daughter and the neighborhood kids love this F150. It is far easier for her to manage and steer than her previous ride on, the Little Tikes Hummer. Even though this is bigger, it's easier for her to steer and she enjoys taking neighbor kids for a ride. It does very well in dirt, gravel, and grass. We have some empty lots in a new subdivision near our house that she loves to drive around in and it climbs over almost everything except really large rocks or stumps. The only complaint I have is that the plastic tires are really loud on any paved surface so we tend to keep it on the grass or off-road. If it wasn't for the really loud tires, I would have given it 5 stars.
